I'm changing my blog to Jen's Year of Living with Less, instead of Jen's Year of Living Without. There's a book from Tyndale that might be published with the "Year of Living Without" title, and I don't want to copy it. Plus, I'm not really living without, I'm living with less. Hope you follow me there!

Went to the movies tonight with a friend. I usually buy a small popcorn and small coke which adds up to about $6.

not 2011 yet, but today I returned an expensive hair brush and another hair item that I don't really need.

give until it hurts

I want to tally up each day the amount I would have spent on coffee, etc. and then give that money instead. And it's going to be hard to give up some stuff!

Today's the last day before the year of living without. Yikes, I'm a little nervous about this now. But glad to be doing something.

my 2011 GOALS

Goal number one is what I'll be blogging mostly about.


1) Save as much as possible for charity (charity to be decided)

- do not purchase anything that I do not absolutely need. Give the money I was going to use to charity.

- no purchasing clothes from anywhere except goodwill, salvation army, or the like.

- no unnecessary toys for Jonas: Garage sales or goodwill only.

- If I want a coke or desert, give that amount of money to charity instead


2) Read through the entire Bible (One Year Chronological NLT)

3) Try to find a way to volunteer without affecting my time with Jonas.
